Landscape Graduation Project Competition 2026

1. Competition Overview

The Egyptian Society of Landscape Architects (ESLA) is pleased to announce its first  Landscape Architecture Graduation Project Competition 2025/2026, aimed at recognizing outstanding graduation projects developed by Egyptian university students in the field of Landscape Architecture. We are looking for aspirational and transformative projects that tackle local and global challenges and that are informed by a holistic understanding of context

Submitted projects may vary in scope, ranging from landscape architecture to landscape planning. All types of projects are accepted, such as residential, commercial, educational, historical, environmental renewal, green infrastructure, and other related topics. 

The competition seeks to promote excellence, innovation, sustainability, and professional development among emerging landscape architects while showcasing the highest quality academic work produced by Egyptian universities.

2. Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to undergraduate students enrolled in Egyptian universities offering Landscape Architecture or related programs.
  2. Submitted projects must be official graduation projects completed during the Academic Year 2025/2026. Proof of your status as a final-year undergraduate student will be required if you reach the finalist stage.
  3. Individual and group projects are eligible. 
  4. Each project may be submitted only once. 

3. Regulations 

  1. Participation is anonymous; use only your Unique Registration Number for identification on submissions.
  2. English is the mandatory language for all submissions.
  3. Registration fees are free (for ESLA members),  250 le (non ESLA members) and fees are non-refundable.
  4. Contact with jury members regarding your submission is strictly prohibited.
  5. ESLA reserves the right to modify competition schedules as needed.
  6. Submissions not adhering to competition rules or requirements will be disqualified without notification. 
  7. Use the specified ESLA Templates for your graduation project submissions.
  8. By participating, you agree to grant ESLA the right to publish, exhibit, and promote your submission for competition-related purposes.
  9. Participants may use AI tools in a supportive capacity, such as for visualisation and presentation. AI must not replace the participant’s own design authorship, spatial reasoning, or decision-making. By submitting, participants confirm that all design thinking and spatial decisions are their own. ESLA reserves the right to disqualify any submission found to be in breach of this regulation.
  10. Posters and presentation boards that do not fully comply with the submission requirements and official templates will be disqualified, regardless of the quality of the work.
  11. An invitation to attend the  Award  Ceremony will be extended to all participants

Late submissions will not be accepted.

5- Registration Process

Participants must complete the official registration form and submit it by email to info@esla-eg.org with the subject line:ESLA Competition Registration. This form includes participant’s information. 

Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation email containing a unique registration code. This code must be used as the project identification number during the final submission.

The students of the top three shortlisted projects will be invited to present their work during the Awards Ceremony, where the winners of the ESLA Graduation Project Competition 2025/2026 will be officially announced and celebrated.

6. Awards and Recognition

  • First Prize Cash Award: EGP 30,000
  • ESLA Certificate of Recognition for second and third places 
  • Publication opportunities through ESLA communication platforms and events. 

The Jury reserves the right not to award a prize if the submitted projects do not meet the required standards.

7. Submission Requirements

After submitting the registration form ( to be found at ESLA Web Site ) and acquiring the code number, Participants shall submit the following to info@esla-eg.org. The mail  title should include “competition submission –  your secret code”

A. Project description 

 The project description form ( to be found at ESLA Web Site ) includes the project name 

/ the aim of the project/ the vision /the main challenges and how it responded to environmental, social and urban parameters

B. Project Presentation Boards

  • Maximum 4 boards. 
  • Board size: A3 (Landscape) in high-resolution /PDF format  
  • Maximum file size: 50 MB. 

D. Declaration Form

A signed declaration ( to be found at ESLA Website confirming that:

  • The work is original. 
  • All sources and references are properly acknowledged. 
  • The project was completed as part of an academic graduation requirement. 

8. Evaluation Criteria

Projects will be evaluated by an independent jury panel composed of academics and professional landscape architects.

9. Jury Process

  1. All submissions will undergo eligibility screening. 
  2. Qualified submissions will be reviewed anonymously whenever possible. 
  3. Jury decisions are final and binding. 
  4. No correspondence regarding jury decisions will be entertained.

10. Intellectual Property

  1. Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property. 
  2. By submitting, participants grant ESLA the right to:
    • Publish submitted materials. 
    • Display projects in exhibitions. 
    • Use project images and information for educational and promotional purposes, with proper credit to the authors. 
  3. Commercial rights remain with the project authors. 

11. Disqualification

ESLA reserves the right to disqualify any submission that:

  • Contains false information. 
  • Violates copyright regulations. 
  • Is submitted after the deadline. 
  • Does not comply with the competition requirements. 
  • Includes plagiarism or unauthorized use of third-party materials. 

12. Acceptance of Terms

Submission to the competition constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions stated herein. ESLA reserves the right to amend these terms where necessary and will communicate any changes through official channels.
