During, and right after, the world congress of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) the applications from the Egyptian Society of Landscape Architects (ESLA) was approved and our new members given a warm welcome to the IFLA family. Their joining us means we now have 80 member associations representing more than 70,000 landscape architects worldwide.

Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Egyptian Society of Landscape Architects (ESLA). The society is founded by group of professional, enthusiast and dedicated Egyptian landscape architects. It is indorsed and recognized by the International Defederation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), as the National Association representing the discipline in Egypt. ESLA is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit association, created in accordance with the provisions of the Egyptian national law number 149 of the year 2019.
ESLA aims to: (i) Ensure a sound practice of the profession and guarantee abidance with the society’s code of professional ethics in the landscape architecture practice within Egypt; (ii) Promote the profession of Landscape Architecture locally and contribute to its advancement and pioneering in the region and beyond; (iii) Encourage the preservation and creation of quality local landscape architecture projects within natural, rural, and urban settings in order to achieve a higher quality of life for the Egyptian population; (iv) Encourage international exchange of knowledge, skills and experiences on the educational and professional levels; (v) Offer continuous-education courses for members in an effort to improve individuals’ skills and knowledge as well as advance the profession locally; and (vi) Contribute to the creation of an accredited and specialized landscape architecture education in Egypt.
ESLA will build on its collective members’ experiences to advance the discipline. It shall be administered by an appointed executive body and governed by the elected board members. Follow us for further announcement on membership type, fees, and how to contribute to the growing of the society.
