The Egyptian Society of Landscape Architects is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit association.
Our Mission
Defining, refining and advocating for the landscape architecture in Egypt through raising awareness and education and empowering our members to make Egypt greener, equitable and sustainable.
Our Vision
As the Egyptian professional landscape architecture body we aspire to be recognised as an expert and trustworthy in serving the profession, the members, and the country.
Objectives
- Ensure a sound practice of the profession and guarantee abidance with the society’s code of professional ethics in the landscape architecture practice within Egypt.
- Promote the profession of Landscape Architecture locally and contribute to its advancement and pioneering in the region and beyond.
- Encourage the preservation and creation of quality local landscape architecture projects within natural, rural and urban settings in order to achieve a higher quality of life for the Egyptian population.
- Encourage international exchange of knowledge, skills and experiences on the educational and professional levels.
- Offer continuous-education courses for members in an effort to improve individuals’ skills and knowledge as well as advance the profession locally.
- Contribute to the creation of an accredited and specialized landscape architecture education in Egypt.
- The society shall be administered by an appointed executive body and governed by the elected board members.
