اتخذت الجمعية المصرية لمهندسي اللاندسكيب (إسلا) مؤخرًا خطوات كبيرة في تطوير مجال اللاندسكيب على المستويين المحلي والدولي. فلم تصبح الجمعية المصرية لمهندسي اللاندسكيب عضوًا تفخر بها إفلا افريقيا فحسب، بل قام العديد من أعضائها البارزين وأصدقائها -المؤمنين بأهداف ورسالة أتفاقية اللاندسكيب الأفريقية- أيضًا بالتوقيع والتصديق على أتفاقية اللاندسكيب الأفريقية ، مما يدل على التزام الجمعية وأصدقاءها بممارسات اللاندسكيب. 

وقد وقع الأفراد التالي اسماؤهم من الجمعية على وثيقة، والتي أصبحت مفتوحة أيضًا للتبني من قبل العديد من الشركاء المؤسسيين، بما في ذلك الجامعات والهيئات الحكومية التي تتقاسم المبادئ الموضحة في الوثيقة:

من خلال هذه الجهود، لا تلعب الجمعية المصرية  لمهندسي اللاندسكيب دورًا محوريًا في الدعوة إلى والتعريف بمهنة هندسة اللاندسكيب في مصر فحسب، بل إنها تضع أيضًا سابقة لكيفية دمج المهنة في مبادرات التخطيط البيئي والحضري الأوسع. إن تأييد أعضاء الجمعية وأصدقاءها يؤكد على تفانيهم في تعزيز الاستدامة البيئيه والثقافيه وجودة الحياة للمجتمعات. وعلاوة على ذلك، مع عضوية الجمعية المصرية لمهندسي اللاندسكيب إفلا افريقيا، فإنهم يعملون على تعزيز شبكتهم ورفع مكانة اللاندسكيب كمهنة ذات مغزى وتأثير في مصر. ويمثل هذا إنجازًا مهمًا في الجهد الجماعي لجعل اللاندسكيب جزءًا محترمًا ومتكاملًا من تنمية البلاد، مما يساهم في تصميم مساحات حضرية أفضل وأكثر خضرة ومرونة.

ESLA (the Egyptian Society of Landscape Architecture) has recently taken significant steps in advancing the field of landscape architecture both locally and internationally. Not only has ESLA become a proud member of IFLA Africa, but several of its prominent members have also signed and ratified the African Landscape Convention (ALC), demonstrating their commitment to sustainable landscape practices.

The following individuals from ESLA have signed the ALC, which is also open for adoption by various institutional partners, including universities and government agencies that share the principles outlined in the document

Through these efforts, ESLA is not only playing a pivotal role in advocating for landscape architecture in Egypt, but also setting a precedent for how the profession can be integrated into broader environmental and urban planning initiatives. The endorsement of the ALC by ESLA’s members highlights their dedication to fostering sustainable, culturally appropriate landscapes that enhance the environment and the quality of life for communities.
Moreover, with ESLA’s new membership in IFLA Africa, they are further strengthening their network and elevating the profile of landscape architecture as a meaningful and impactful profession in Egypt. This marks an important milestone in the collective effort to make landscape architecture a respected and integral part of the country’s development, contributing to better-designed, greener, and more resilient urban spaces.
