Alongside the UN Habitat World Urban Forum WUF12 that took place in Cairo, several distinguished organizations and agencies held pre-WUF events. The ESLA team organised a symposium that included the participation of the current and past presidents of IFLA, ESLA honorary members, panel experts, and key partners. The event featured a series of talks offering diverse insights into the field of landscape architecture, from international perspectives to the discipline’s evolution within Egypt. Topics spanned national public initiatives, private sector projects, and a notable case study from New Cairo, all presented by distinguished speakers:

على هامش المنتدى الحضري العالمي الثاني عشر التابع لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية (WUF12) الذي أقيم في القاهرة، نظمت العديد من المنظمات والهيئات المرموقة فعاليات ما قبل المنتدى الحضري العالمي. نظم فريق الجمعية المصرية لمهندسي اللاندسكيب (إسلا) ندوة شارك فيها رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لمهندسي اللاندسكيب (الحالي والسبق)، وأعضاء الشرف في الجمعية المصرية لمهندسي اللاندسكيب والمكاتب، وخبراء اللجنة، والشركاء الرئيسيون.

تضمن الحدث سلسلة من المحادثات التي قدمت رؤى متنوعة في مجال هندسة المناظر الطبيعية، من وجهات النظر الدولية إلى تطور هذا التخصص في مصر. تناولت المواضيع المبادرات العامة الوطنية ومشاريع القطاع الخاص ودراسة حالة بارزة من القاهرة الجديدة، وقد قدمها جميعًا متحدثون بارزون:
